My Desk Chair is an Amputee

Yesterday I got really upset and tore the arm off of my desk chair.

My chair is an amputee!

Whoa, that was supposed to be another photo. Not sure what happened, but that was so funny in its doubleness when I checked the post after publishing, I'm-a-gonna-leave it-a-bea. Be. You bet. So like I was saying, My chair is an amputee!

Truth be told, this needed to be done. See, our cubicles are not designed for the chairs we have. Or is it that our chairs our not designed for our cubicles? I don't know. I do know that the arms are constantly banging into the support beams under the desktop, stopping the chair from sliding under the desk to the properly comfortable position. Like the chick in the "Tiny House" reality-TV show is so fond of saying, "Not Awesome!"

It would certainly be more interesting to say I just used my guns to rip it away from the chair -- the same guns that I've meticulously sculpted by doing curls using the BurgundyMath (1, 2, 3, 1004, 1005, etc) to properly get the deep burn that you need to get nice guns. But alas, it wouldn't be true. I used something called a "screwdriver" and something else entirely different called a "needle nose pliers" with a good supply of "elbow grease" to get that guy removed from the chair base.

And the results are spectacular. If you think its ridiculous to have a one-armed chair, well so does everyone else in my office. They're all laughing at me. But they always do anyway, so that being the case I may as well be comfortable. Gimme a break, I'm just trying to make an omelet!
