Milwaukee's Best has TV Ads?

Who knew Milwaukee's Best had TV spots? They do!

I was watching the Twins-Brewers series over the weekend on the Brewers network feed, which normally would suck, not getting the Twins feed. But it cracked me up, because literally every third ad was for beer. How's that for playing up a stereotype?

There were lots of Miller ads, which one would expect. But spots for Milwaukee's Best? Wow. That's not quite as cool as seeing an ad for Pabst, which would probably cause me to soil myself. But all the same, they were freaking hilarious. I mean, FREAKING.

One spot shows a group of guys playing poker. One of the dudes gets up to go outside so he can talk to his sweetie. Just then, a GIANT Milwaukee's Best beer can falls out of the sky and crushes him. The tagline: Milwaukee's Best, A real Man's beer. Inferring of course that this poor guy, whipped as he is, deserves to be crushed by a giant beer can. Of course.

Another spot shows a group of guys preparing to go out to the bars. Three of them get there, and they wonder, where's the fourth guy? Cut to a flower show, where guy #4 is with his girlfriend, because she made him go there instead of the bar. Just then, you guessed it! A giant Milwaukee's Best beer can falls out of the sky and crushes him. Inferring, I guess, that this guy is not man enough to drink the beer, so he might as well be crushed by it.

Nice.

I don't care who you are, that's funny. Still not drinking that nasty beer though. I have to admit, I MIGHT though. Those ads were pretty money. If I see a third one I might be sold on at least one case...
