Its MVC Baseball Tournament Weekend, but I still want to talk basketball. Even if it is 80 degrees and sunny, its never too early to talk hoops! Plus, the Jays and Salukis play in the tourney this weekend, so...
Anyway, this weeks links are after the jump.

According to this article, Stanley committed to the Bulldogs when Keno Davis was the coach, and likes what he hears from the new staff.
- New coach Mark Phelps has rounded out his staff with the hiring of three assistants. Ron Maly, former Des Moines Register reporter, had these comments on the hires.
- Leonard Houston is one of 10 players selected to play in the Athletes in Action Tour this summer, which will play games in Poland.
- Phelps has landed his first recruit as Drake coach.
- Dr. Tom Davis has officially retired, this time on his own terms.
- Adam Emmenecker has decided to put off working for The Principal to pursue a basketball career in Europe.
- Former Saluki Jamaal Tatum has a clothing line. And a pretty nice official site, too.
- Iowa's leading scorer from a year ago, Tony Freeman, has decided to transfer to Southern Illinois for his senior year. He'll have to sit out this coming year, and will have one year of eligibility remaining.
